This disorder can create significant challenges in relationships, work, and personal well-being. Treatment for NPD typically involves psychotherapy, where individuals can work on developing healthier self-esteem and learning to empathize with others. Understanding the complexities of narcissism is crucial for fostering healthier interpersonal dynamics and promoting mental health.
